CEU Moves up in the 2022 QS World University Rankings in DPP's subject areas

According to the 2022 QS World University Rankings by Subject, two CEU programs rank amongst the top 50 worldwide, with a further 3 in the top 100.

CEU President and Rector Shalini Randeria said, "Our rankings in Politics & International Studies and Philosophy continue to climb. I was also particularly pleased to see that we are now also ranked in Anthropology."

DPP research led by Mihály Fazekas featuring in the European Commission’s latest Cohesion Report

Data collected and indicators developed by DPP assistant professor Mihály Fazekas have featured in the 8th Cohesion Report of the European Commission (pages 225-230), a flagship report on the state of territorial cohesion across the European Union.

Students from DPP and Partner Institutions Present OSUN GLOBALED Project Recommendations to Amnesty International, UNICEF and Other Partners

The first cohort of OSUN students enrolled in the OSUN GLOBALED certificate program, hosted at the Department of Public Policy of CEU, completed their Practicum projects. Student teams presented their findings and recommendations to an audience of OSUN faculty mentors and client representatives at an online conference held on March 28, 2022.

Ariane Chebel d’Appollonia, George Soros Visiting Chair at DPP in the winter term, held a public lecture on March 2 titled Is Violent America Europe's Future? Chebel d'Appollonia, a professor at Rutgers University, Newark and an affiliated Senior Researcher at Sciences Po Paris, discussed some of the negative sides of identity politics in the United States, building on the work of her forthcoming book, as well as how this leads to division of the left and an ever-increasing polarization of the political landscape in America.

Marc Schiffbauer (World Bank) Speaks at the DPP EBPM Seminar Series

Marc Schiffbauer, a Senior Economist at the World Bank working in the Poverty Reduction and Economic Management unit has been invited to speak the the DPP Evidence-Based Policymaking (EBPM) seminar series. The seminar, held on February 23, was the first event of the seminar series that brings together researchers across multiple departments at CEU interested in empirical issues related to social policy and public policy.
