The Department of Public Policy (DPP), Central European University (CEU), is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a three-year HORIZON Europe WIDERA grant „Building Capacities for Excellent Research and Innovation in Democracy and Policy through Networking, Knowledge and Experience Transfer“ (BRRIDGE) in a consortium with Matej Bel University (UMB, Slovakia), European University Institute (EUI, Italy), and University of Galway (UG, Ireland).
DPP Professor and Head Martin Kahanec spoke in the panel on "Young people in the post COVID-19 labour market: scarring effects, learning losses and emerging opportunities (ESDE 22)" at the European Employment & Social Rights Forum 2022 in Brussels on November 17, 2022. The high-level event featured EC President Ursula von der Leyen, Commissioner Nicolas Schmit, former EC PResident Jean-Claude Juncker, and several MEPs, ministers, academics, and practitioners.
DPP professor and head Martin Kahanec presented at the CEPR Workshop for the Reconstruction of Ukraine Report on September 15-16, 2022. His contribution tackled the questions of reforming Ukrainian education and the role of education in the reconstruction of Ukraine in the aftermath of the Russian invasion.
