Richard Wike presented some key findings from recent Pew Research Center surveys during a public lecture that was organized by the School of Public Policy and its Center for Media, Data and Society on October 26.
He began his presentation by focusing on the U.S. presidential elections, noting that both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have very high negative ratings. The primary reason voters give for supporting Donald Trump is that “he is not Clinton.” The top reason that her supporters give for why they will vote for Hillary Clinton is that “she is not Trump.”
