The Department of Public Policy had the privilege of hosting Akihiko (Aki) Nishio, Vice President for Development Finance at The World Bank, for an insightful Policy Talk on the evolving landscape of international aid.
“This new era is totally different from previous eras because of the recent Nuclear Agreement,” asserted Senior Global Challenges Fellow* Mohammad Hassan Khani.
During a strong and deeply personal Kapuscinski Development Lecture at the School of Public Policy (SPP) at Central European University (CEU) on May 7, Deepa Narayan challenged her audience to “rethink gender inequality.”
CEU’s Human RightS Initiative (HRSI) organized a day-long workshop on May 16 on Drug Policy Reform Advocacy. Led by Peter Sarosi, drug policy program director of the Hungarian Civil Liberties Union (HCLU), the workshop “offered a good general introduction to the global drug control system and drug policy reform,” said Zoe Kostitsi-Papastathopoulou (MPA ’16).
