The Labour Rights Index (LRI), first launched in 2020, is a de jure index comparing labour legislation worldwide. Released biennially, the third edition of the Labour Rights Index will be launched on the 5th of November at the Central European University's Department of Public Policy in Vienna and in cooperation with The WageIndicator Foundation and the CEU's Shattuck Center for Human Rights. In case you are unable to join us in-person, you can join us online on Zoom.
The Labour Rights Index 2024 updates our comprehensive analysis of global labour legislation and its alignment with international human rights frameworks and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It also expands the scope of the Labour Rights Index to 145 countries (from 135 countries in 2022) that are home to approximately 90% of the global workforce, enhancing our understanding of labour rights across diverse regions.
On Nov 5th, we will discuss with
- Agnes Batory, Pro-Rector, Central European University
- Martin Kahanec, Professor of Public Policy, Central European University, and Director, Shattuck Centre
- Fiona Dragstra, General Director, WageIndicator Foundation
- Iftikhar Ahmad, Head of Labour Rights Team, WageIndicator Foundation
- Daniela Ceccon, Director of Data, WageIndicator Foundation
