Martin Kahanec, professor at CEU’s Department of Public Policy, played a pivotal role at the recent International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility and Decent Work hosted by WageIndicator Foundation and FLAME University, held from March 21st to 23rd, 2024, in Pune, India.

The conference, organized by WageIndicator Foundation and FLAME University, provided a platform for leading scholars and practitioners to discuss critical issues surrounding corporate responsibility and sustainable development.

Cameran Ashraf participates in launching the Iranian Archive

Department of Public Policy Assistant Professor Cameran Ashraf has joined the Atlantic Council, Amnesty International, UC Berkeley's Human Rights Center, UCLA's Promise Institute for Human Rights, and other prominent human rights organizations in launching the Iranian Archive, a landmark archive forensically preserving over 1,000,000 vulnerable digital artifacts recording serious human rights violations committed by the Islamic Republic of Iran against Woman, Life, Freedom movement protesters.

Chris Herbst appointed as George Soros Visiting Chair

Chris Herbst has been appointed as George Soros Visiting Chair at the Department of Public Policy in the spring term of Academic Year 2023-2024. Herbst is a Foundation Professor in the School of Public Affairs (SPA) and a faculty affiliate in the School Social Work in the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions at Arizona State University. The professor will teach a 2-credit course titled Economics of Education and he will be available for consultation for students and faculty.
