DPP faculty andreas Goldthau presents on prospects of shale gas in Europe

Andreas Goldthau, DPP faculty and Head of Department, presented a joint paper written with Mike LaBelle of the CEU Business School on the outlook of unconventional natural gas. In his talk titled "Doomed to fail? Assessing the prospects of shale gas in Europe" Andreas argued that it is not geology or NIMBY phenomena that will make the difference in developing european shale gas. Rather, it is technology regimes that will matter most.

DPP faculty Andreas Goldthau presents on shale gas at Warwick University

On 9 November, DPP faculty Andreas Goldthau presented a paper (co-authored with Michael LaBelle of CEU Business School) on shale gas developments in Bulgaria and Poland at Warwick University. The paper was given as part of the annual conference of the GR:EEN project, an EU funded multi-stakeholder research project.

 

DPP faculty Andreas Goldthau participates in workshop on "Future Trends in the Energy Sector & Priorities for EBRD Energy Policy" at Chatham House

On 05 February 2013 DPP faculty Andreas Goldthau participated in a high level workshop held at Chatham House to consider future trends in the energy sector as part of an important review of EBRD’s Energy Operations Policy. The workshop brought together a select group of leading figures in the energy sector, from industry, academia and civil society, to discuss key issues that are of particular relevance to EBRD regions and activities.
