The event will begin with a book launch and discussion of Reengineering India: Work, Capital and Class in an Offshore Economy by Carol Upadhya, Professor, School of Social Sciences, National Institute of Advanced Studies. Zsuzsanna Arendas will act as the discussant.

It will be followed immediately by a roundtable discussion on India's promise and challenges as an emerging world power.  The roundtable will be moderated by SPP Associate Professor Sahana Udupa and feature panelists His Excellency Ambassador Rahul Chhabra, Ambassador of India to Hungary; CMDS Fellow Ian M. Cook; Senior Global Challenges Fellow Happymon Jacob; Sanjay Kumar, South Asia Research Group, CEU; and Carol Upadhya.

After the conclusion of the roundtable discussion, there will be a dance performance by Meenakshi Dora Bittner. The evening will conclude with a reception.

SPP student Daniel Berg will act as Master of Ceremonies.
