DPP faculty members Andreas Goldthau and Kristina Irion participate in the 5th biennal ECPR Regulatory Governance Standing Group Conference in Barcelona. Andreas who is a member of the Regulatory Governance Standing Group Steering Committee will chair a round table discussion on 'A new climate governance? Regulatory innovation towards low carbon' and will present his research paper 'What makes technology travel? Insights from US shale gas and implications for a research agenda on regulatory governance'. Kristina is going to present a paper on 'Accountability unchained: Bulk data retention, preemptive surveillance and transatlantic data protection'. The ECPR Regulatory Governance Conference is one of the most important outlets for research in public policy, regulation and governance. Presently, both faculty are Marie Curie Fellows, Andreas at Harvard University’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and Kristina at the Institute for Information Law (IViR) at the University of Amsterdam.
