Andrew recommends that you try swimming in the snow:
"Whether you want to plough up and down an Olympic pool, float around in a hot pool or watch the chess players at Széchenyi Bath, there is something very special about being in a pool in Budapest when there is snow all around. It is even more memorable if you can find one late in a winter afternoon, when the sky is blue/black and the steam makes everything a bit vague. There are plenty of places to go and everyone has their favourite. Mine is Dagály, not the plushest of places, but the long tented walkway comes out to a 50 metre pool, close to side of the Danube. If it is really cold (and the water is not), you can swim surrounded by snow and just about see the ice floating down the river."
