
On March 18, 2013, Sara Svensson successfully defended her PhD thesis on "Social Capital and Governance in European Borderlands - A Comparative Study of Euroregions as Policy Actors" in a well-attended public defense.
The committee, chaired by Marie-Pierre Granger (track representative, CEU) and composed of Harlan Koff (external, University of Luxembourg), Tamas Meszerics (internal, CEU), and Andrew Cartwright (supervisor, CEU), awarded Sara a Magna Cum Laude grade for her thesis.
Sara belonged to the first cohort of PhD students who enrolled in the Public Policy Track of the Doctoral Program in Political Science which started in Fall 2008, and she is the second student to graduate from the track. The Department of Public Policy congratulates Sara on her achievement. The faculty and staff of the DPP also would like to express their gratitude to Sara for her contribution to the development and success of the Public Policy track and her strong involvement in the life of the department as well as in the students' community.
