Mundus MAPP Launches New Website

Mundus MAPP launches its new website at www.mundusmapp.org. The website reflects the newness of the program, has a new logo and a new image for the program, and the information is presented in a restructured way. 

New features include program structure and course outlines, lists of graduated students and current student representatives, hosted Visiting Scholars and a news section.

Martin Kahanec (Public Policy) live on BBC World News: Migrants do not respond to welfare generosity

Martin Kahanec (DPP) contributes to the heated debate on welfare restrictions for migrants in the UK in a live interview on BBC World News on May 31, 2013. Kahanec refuted the idea that migrants tend to go to welfare-generous countries, argueing that by responding to economic variables migranrs help to cushion adverse effects of the current economic crisis.

Marie-Pierre recommends that you explore the 'ruin bars' of Budapest. These 'kerts' are what makes Budapest's  night-, but also day-, life so special and delightful. Each has its own style, theme and atmosphere, but most have a surreal taste and irresistible charm.

DPP student, Rene Eno-Akpa won the prestigious Google Policy Fellowship Award

DPP student, Rene Eno-Akpa has recently won the prestigious Google Policy Fellowship Award to do research at Strathmore University, Nairobi. This fellowship program supports graduate fellows who do research on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Rene believes that while IPR limits access to quality schooling in rural areas, ICT enhances access to copyright-protected material through electronic learning platforms.

The Role of Men in Gender Equality - European strategies & insights

Andrea Krizsan, CPS research fellow and DPP adjunct faculty, contributed to a recently published study on the role of men in gender equality. 

 

The study was commissioned by the European Commission in order to fill the gap of specific and in-depth knowledge of men in gender equality issues. This is the first EU study which undertakes systematic and comparative research in the fields of education, employment, reconciliation policies, violence and health.
