DPP faculty member Kristina Irion organized panel at Europe’s largest communications conference

The biannual conference of the European Communications Research and Education Association (ECREA), Europe’s largest platform for communications scholars from various disciplines, took place in Istanbul between 24-27 October, 2012. DPP faculty member Kristina Irion organized a panel in the Communications Law and Policy Section on Independent regulatory agencies in the media sector which disseminated outcomes from two collaborative research projects. The panel was composed of researchers from Germany, Belgium, and Hungary who were jointly involved in the INDIREG study for the European Commission published in 2011. The research will be published in Spring 2013 by Intellect in the peer-reviewed ECREA book series.
