Course registration

Students are required to complete their course registration through the CEU e:Vision Portal during the registration period of each term, as indicated in the Academic Calendar, as well as in the Student Records Manual. Students are also encouraged to plan their whole year in advance and enroll in all chosen courses for the whole academic year during the first registration period. Enrolling for a course through its e-learning site (Moodle) does not substitute registration via CEU e:Vision Portal.

Students have an opportunity to review all syllabi for courses offered by the Department during the registration period at the following CEU E-learning site.

A course may be dropped through e:Vision Portal by the end of the day of the first class of the respective course without any charge. In the case of late registration and/or drop managed by the Department, a fee of 15 euro, set by CEU PU, applies. The Department strongly discourages late registration for and/or late dropping of courses. However, in cases when this is necessary, please send an email to the Student Affairs coordinator.  Students who neither take the final exam, nor drop the course or change it to audit in time will receive an Administrative Fail (AF).

Class enrollment is limited. As a general rule, classes offered by the Department are capped at 20 students (including students from other departments, visiting and exchange students). However, individual professors may prescribe further limitation on class size or allow enrollment for additional students upon their professional consideration.

For current course offer with descriptions please go to the CEU course hub.

For course syllabi please go to the E-Learning site.

Cross-listed courses

Besides the MA courses offered by the Department, students can also choose from MA courses offered by other CEU departments and programs, provided that those courses are cross-listed with the Department of Public Policy. You will find these courses under the elective category in SITS.

Crosslisted courses for MAPP, Mundus MAPP and MPA

Taking courses at other CEU academic units
CEU promotes interdisciplinarity and cross-unit collaboration: you are allowed to earn up to 4 credits (depending on your program) per academic year from courses offered by other academic units and from the University Wide Courses, without any formal approval required by the Department. You will find these courses in the Non-crosslisted courses category in SITS.
