The European Parliament’s "Stepping up the EU's efforts to tackle corruption – Cost of Non-Europe Report" report investigates the cost of corruption across the European Union. Based on a comprehensive analysis it makes recommendations to the Parliament on how to better control corruption and what range of savings could be achieved due to higher integrity. DPP professor Kahanec appointed to the Council of the Slovak Government for Science, Technology and Innovation
DPP Professor and Head of Department Martin Kahanec has been appointed by the Slovak Government as a member of its Council for Science, Technology and Innovation. The Council is the central coordinating and advisory body of the Government of the Slovak Republic for the creation of policy in the field of research, development and innovation.
As part of “Journalistic research and investigation”, a practical course conducted by Marius Dragomir at CEU, a team of 12 CEU students launched work on a new investigation in January 2023. The class is run in a newsroom format, students carrying out journalistic investigation and research that will feed into a final report.
